The battery requirement has been updated to 3 AA (not included) batteries, which mount into the Robot's lower back.

There is an updated digital talking device, but it sounds just like the old Robert, and is still activated by a hand crank in Robert's back.

"Standard Flashlight Bulbs" have been replaced with LEDs for longer life.
