Rockit Robot is an excellent Beginner Series robot. This battery controlled robot kit can teach the basic principles of robotic sensing and locomotion. It features a pre-assembled printed circuit board, hardware, and mechanical drive system that can be handled by almost anyone from age 10 and up.

Only basic hand tools (philips head screwdriver and needle nosed pliers) are required for assembly.

Care must be taken when assembling the rear axle--a common pitfall is to put the crown gear reversed. Make sure to study the diagram carefully when assembling the rear axle. When the robot is nearly completed, take your time when fine-tuning the relationship between the motor pinion and the crown gear.

Appropriate for ages 10 and up, RocKit Robot is an intelligent robot with a touch/sound sensor.

If it comes in contact with an object or hears a loud noise (such as hands clapping), RocKit Robot automatically reverses, then turns left before embarking on a new course.
